Learning to edit takes a long time to get good at it. This guy is talking about editing like it’s an “easy side hustle” especially since everyone else in this field is “slow” and you can start today and be “faster”. Editing shouldn’t be seen as a “side hustle” either since it takes a lot of time to create this skill. It’s a main hustle.
I edited a video for my friend where i got this idea about earning with editing
This is a bullshit take for two reasons: 1.) Editing slow is like painting or brainstorming slow. You want faster edits then you need to get more editors or lighten workload. Bringing us to reason 2.) Editors that do more than cut are worth exponentially more time and money, so they aren't slower. They actually get 5 x longer to wrap. Like if you are going to specialize in retention you are the least likely to master that just editing. You shift 80% of your time away from editing to becoming a producer. But this is YouTube, so you still rush an edit on some bare-bones standardized strategy that millions of others have already done for years.
If someone makes growth claims, ask for the graphs to back it up. If someone teaches you to lie, block them.
