What if you don't have money to buy web cams etc? How do you record then?
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًا ﴿88﴾
And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]."
لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْئًا إِدًّا ﴿89﴾
Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing.
تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا ﴿90﴾
Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins,
أَن دَعَوْا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًا ﴿91﴾
That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah).
وَمَا يَنبَغِي لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا ﴿92﴾
But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children).
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا آتِي الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدًا ﴿93﴾
There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave.
لَّقَدْ أَحْصَاهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا ﴿94﴾
Verily, He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting.
وَكُلُّهُمْ آتِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَرْدًا ﴿95﴾
And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender).

I have been using descript to edit my videos but found it super laggy and I'm always waiting on it. Is there a way to speed up the process? It takes forever to export my video at 1080 too. I find that this is slowing my course creation process down and I found this video in searching for better options to descript. Is there a way to make it not so laggy? I have yet to find anything on their website to help me troubleshoot. I have a brand new computer and the highest wifi. So it's not that.
I am confused how do we create slides? Are they just photographs that we click on a specific section under filming that says slides and we convert photographs into images with content? Thank you so much for clarity. It’s my first time.
Can you upload pre recorded videos to descript or do you have to record on it?
Gillian, ready a few of the comments below after having watched your presentation, you may in fact be the answer I've been seeking. I'm turning 62 tomorrow, completely intimidated unfortunately by this entire process and the whole "reinventing" oneself at this point in life. I was a Master in my former line of work/business owner, however now partially retired (and really disliking it) I've set out to solve a huge problem, the solution for a unique course creation for so many needing my help. I feel like an infant learning the simple basics of life, a dinosaur from the past needing to learn new skills. Online course, which platform, marketing, learning YouTube creation, heck I only started using Facebook about a year ago.

What if you wanted to add some film footage that wasn't a slide? Also, can you edit the video part so you can cut out fumbling around with the slide deck in transitions between talking and slides?

Does descript mute sounds in the background, thank you this was great!!! I use power point but I'm concerned about background noise
Please purchase a quality condenser mic and use it for the entire video, it's hard to listen to the audio as it is, had to turn the volume way down to make it through the video. Or upgrade your lavalier to RØDE Lavalier II at the very least. Also the draped clothing on the couch took a big L there, I'd workshop your backgrounds more if I were you, to not take away from the content. But, great break down of Descript
Awesome video Gillian! Thank you for the Dscript breakdown. Quick question: what do you recommend when you already have long-form course videos recorded and they just need to be edited down to shorter length clips and have filler words taken out. Does Dscript work well for this use case?
