  16. The problem with this is video editors are not marketers! To put your marketing on a million views for 500$ is ridiculous. I can pay tik tok 500$ and barely get a million views and just because I get those views doesnโ€™t mean my company is going to make 10,000$ evenโ€ฆ. I got viral videos in the 600K mark but 50 people didnโ€™t send 1$ to my cash app for the inspiration from the video! I got some followers! This is drastically decreasing the value of hard work to learn the skill of filming and editing and doing artists like Hollywood just did the writers and actors union in Los Angeles! Paying the artist peanuts just because someone on top wants to continue to get rich and keep the money in their pocket! The way to do this is to get your first high paying client and just charge them a lump sum for the work per month and anyone else trying to save money needs to learn this themselves and get a team mate to do the visuals for a salary per hour! Why would I charge a major brand 500$ for 10000000 views when Nike pays nothing to make the shoe and then charges us 200$ for a 3$ shoe making 300% profit then turn around and want to pay me 2$ for an edit? That sounds like a thief and total disrespect for art and artists!

  29. Awesome advice. Do you have anyone you know that is an editor that would go for that with my videos? I would like to hire somebody that is willing to take that chance and be confident with their editing skills.

    I like the idea that if they can get to 2 million views, theyโ€™ve made $2600 off the video and can still climb and get paid as it keeps going. That is a better structure and incentive offer. Please get back to me if you can.

  32. the main thing you are sacrificing is your time. so if it doesn't get views and you worked like 1 week for this video, whats the point? it's just better to charge on the effort and time it will take to make the video
