I really don't understand why Google still uses business names as a ranking factor. They could use the main category, the sub categories and the products/services instead, and use the unique brand names to provide results to navigational queries. That would be much better for the customers and the business that use Google, and there are literally no downsides.
the keyword is legit! that's the route I came up with. I was just checking around to make sure I can do it. I don't mind changing it everywhere. said my competitors have been doing it I personally won't report them because I'm slowly rising back up but after 6 months out of work due to health, I lost all of my rankings.
is this still relevant after last december update ?
I have tried reporting such businesses, but received no response from Google. The problem is, if Google will not look into such reports, then more people will do the same for their businesses.
Darren, you're a breath of fresh air! Your local tips are priceless.
How many times have you been told you're a Paul Rudd doppelganger? 😁
Great video! Thx
Would it not be an idea for Google just to allow it and then everyone will be on the same playing field? They could even encourage it when setting up gmb.
Thanks for the very informative video, Darren. The subject is something I have been looking for clarity on and you hit the nail on the head.
Great video Darren!! i couldnt agree more honestly, google better take action asap about gmb name impact coz its def not being a fair competition, our SEO efforts are being wasteful 🙁
