Reverse key lighting (upstage lighting) is another really cool option. I use it for 3D renders for moody effect but itβs all the same photography/videography principles.
I kind of feel like in all these videos with lighting tips, the scene looks exactly identical. Yes, the lighting does look better, but the scene lacks character.
