  1. My setup:
    Desk: 55$
    Custom Pc: 2000$
    Monitors: 230$
    Studio Monitors: 350$
    Keyboard + Mouse: 130$
    Mouse Pad: 20$
Audio Interface: 40$ (will be upgrading soon)
    Mic: 170$
    Fl Studio: 300$
    Total:
    3295$

  2. I like the list apart from the focusrite interfaceโ€ฆ people on a budget tend to be on windows, and focusriteโ€™s windows drivers tend to have desync issuesโ€ฆ like their hardware QC isnโ€™t up to par or something. Everyone I know who has or has had focusrite interfaces have had desync issues on windows with prolonged use (sessions longer than 4 hours).

These issues all disappeared when switching interface. I went to SSL2+ and havenโ€™t had any issues.

  3. Pro Tools First doesnโ€™t have enough I/O to be useful to most people, if Pro Tools is what you want itโ€™s worth getting Pro Tools studio on a subscription basis and having it go out as a month expense rather than a studio purchase

  4. If youโ€™re getting the Scarlett get a second or third gen, trust me the price difference isnโ€™t much but the newer models made good improvements. Also can attest to the Rode NT1 been using it for a couple years now, this thing is sweet. Canโ€™t speak on headphones, I was using a gaming headset ๐Ÿ˜ญI just picked up a pair of beyerdynamic 770x pros, Iโ€™d try to get a pair of these. open-back for producing/mixing/mastering and closed-back for vocal recording of any kind, as having an open back headset will likely have audio bleed into your microphone

  5. My setup-
    Fl studio signature- -$300
    Custom high performance pc -$500
    Screen Monitors- $150
    Speaker monitors- $100
    Midi controller – $150
    Headphones – $100
    Desk- $150
    Chair – $100
    Keyboard + mouse – $150
    Mic – $60
    Plugins – $400
    Presets and beat packs- $150

Iโ€™m currently looking at used drumpads and analog hardware for another $300

Doesnโ€™t sound budget but I built this slowly over 18 months and there are versions of everything I mentioned for half as cheap.
