I like the list apart from the focusrite interface… people on a budget tend to be on windows, and focusrite’s windows drivers tend to have desync issues… like their hardware QC isn’t up to par or something. Everyone I know who has or has had focusrite interfaces have had desync issues on windows with prolonged use (sessions longer than 4 hours).
These issues all disappeared when switching interface. I went to SSL2+ and haven’t had any issues.

Pro Tools First doesn’t have enough I/O to be useful to most people, if Pro Tools is what you want it’s worth getting Pro Tools studio on a subscription basis and having it go out as a month expense rather than a studio purchase

If you’re getting the Scarlett get a second or third gen, trust me the price difference isn’t much but the newer models made good improvements. Also can attest to the Rode NT1 been using it for a couple years now, this thing is sweet. Can’t speak on headphones, I was using a gaming headset 😭I just picked up a pair of beyerdynamic 770x pros, I’d try to get a pair of these. open-back for producing/mixing/mastering and closed-back for vocal recording of any kind, as having an open back headset will likely have audio bleed into your microphone
